Our beloved Donald Melvin Fausett ( Mel ) age 68 went to be with the Lord on Sunday February 4, 2024. He passed away peacefully in his home in Spokane, Washington.

Donald was born May 26, 1955 in Twin Falls, Idaho. He was blessed to be adopted by Harold and Kathleen Fausett in 1961 where he joined their forever family. He lived with his family in Gem county. Mel grew up with his brother Ronnie and sister Dorene on a large ranch out on the Lower bench where he was raised to be a hardworking and highly respected Farmer and Rancher.

Donald met Vickie Norman in 1973 in Emmett, Idaho. They were married in 1975 and welcomed three beautiful children, Joellen, Jeff and Jennifer. He loved them with all of his heart.

As life went on and the children grew up he followed his children and grandchildren to Yakima, Washington and spent several years in the Valley making new friends and enjoying adventures with his grandkids.

He is survived by his daughters Joellen Shannon, Jennifer and husband Bill Davis, his son Jeffrey Fausett and fiancé Mellissa. His Grandchildren Emily, Mataia, Eric, Nick, Chance, Journey, and Raiden and his Great Grandchildren Samuel and Evelynn. His sister Dorene, nephew Josh and his great nieces and nephews Zophia, Zander and Zylah.

Donald enjoyed fishing with his grandfather as a child which turned into a tradition he shared with his children and grandchildren. He loved old western movies, John Wayne and was a true cowboy at heart. In retirement he enjoyed his garden, taking long walks and being in nature. Mel was always full of life and was quite the character. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father Kathleen and Harold Fausett, his brother Ronnie and his son and law Kenneth Shannon.

There will be a celebration of life at a later date to remember an amazing son, brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and friend.
