Donald's obituary
Donald Dale Brown went home to Jesus on July 16, 2021 at age 98.
Don was born to LaReen and Boise on 03/28/1923 in Rapid City, South Dakota . As a child, he moved to Circle Montana and spent a lot of his time with his Grandma that he loved dearly, He delivered newspapers at a very young age and spent the summers with his pastor helping on the farm until graduating from high School. He had a love for playing guitar, boxing and became a golden glove boxer until he was drafted in WWII, he served in the Navy and was stationed at Pearl Harbor, he was fortune to be on one of the ships that survived both the bombings and the Typhoon. Upon returning home he extended his education and became a pipe fitter.
Don met his wife, Mickey in 1945 at American Legion. They married in 1950 and went on to have 3 children, Donna , Jerry and Debbie . They were married 63 years until her death in 2013. Mom was a stay at home Mom and Dad worked for Bechtel and was in charge of 300 men overseeing the work at downtown Billings Montana power, Northern Hotel, Sheridan Hotel, First Interstate Bank, Power plants 1 & 2 in Colstrip and other jobs in Wisconsin. Dad and Mom built there dream home in 1972, Dad retired shortly after at age 55 and spent his time relaxing at home and traveling to visit family.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving Father, Don also loved animals and helping troubled Teens and Country Music. He spent his spare time remodeling & building, working on cars and taking things apart and leaving things on moms kitchen counter (she would get so mad at him). Throughout his entire life, he held an unwavering faith in God and family traditions.
Dad has joined his Grandma, Mom, Dad, Sister, Wife (Mickey), Son (Jerry) and grandson (Timmy) and many friends in Heaven. He is survived by his Daughter Donna (AL) Debbie (Keith), Grand children Wendy, Kevin and Great grand children Destinee, Elliot, Andrew, Zach, Jasmine, Emma, Ae'Riella, Cole, and Ryan.
On Friday, 7/30/ 2021. Dad and Mom will both be placed together at the Veterans Cemetery in Laurel MT with the honorable three-volley salute, no services following
