My immense sorrows for this tragic loss. I don't know who this seemingly wonderful man was; I was recommended his funeral video on YouTube; I suppose I clicked out of pure curiosity. The video was extremely touching and I searched for more. After a short while, I found myself here, looking at the sweet pictures above that make me feel deep-seated sympathy for this man I have nothing to do with. Vast wishes towards his family.
I meet Don in high school, we were in the same class. He started talking to me about Jesus with confidence like he was on a mission. I learned so much from him. I caught up with him years later at a coffee shop and we reconnected for a bit. When I heard about his passing a deep sadness came over me and then all the memories just started flooding my mind. My condolences to his precious family.
Your with the Father now Don, thank you for all you taught me🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Don will always have a place in my memory! It was said in his obituary that he shared his faith in God with all those around him that to me was his best quality. Dawn and I were roughly 16 or 17 years old when we would go downtown Collingwood to tell people that God loves them and he provided a way to have relationship with him. Not many have that boldness I was looking forward to coming back to Collingwood when I retire and wanted to spend time with Don. So another thing Don's life has taught me is to do it now tomorrow may be to late. My wife and I and my church family will be praying for your family.
