Donald H. Burgett                              

Donald Howard Burgett a proud Veteran of the United States Army, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, June 16th, with his family by his side.

Donald was born on February 07, 1944 to Charles and Olive Burgett. Donald grew up in Athens, Michigan before moving to Homer, Michigan where he spent the majority of his life.

Donald was preceded in death by his first wife Ruth Richmond, his parents and nine siblings.

Don is survived by his wife Patricia Burgett; his children: son Howard (Maria) Burgett of Florida, daughter Vickie Burgett of Minnesota; stepdaughters, Mary Chester, Hope Reed, Cleo (Kwynn) Meek and stepson; Ronald L. Beckwith, 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and several nieces and nephews.

Donald spent the majority of his free time enjoying woodworking, traveling and his love for lighthouses.

There will be a luncheon at 11 a.m. on July 6th, 2023 at the VFW of Homer. Services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at The Fort Custer National Cemetery.

Memorial donations can be made to the VFW of Homer or any Hospice services.
