Donald James Bebee born in El Reno Oklahoma to parents James Bebee and Juanita Horton  transitioned from his physical body on September 7th, 2022 surrounded by his two daughters  Paige Bebee Gorman, Brooke Bebee Foote and his beloved wife of 57 years, Willa Nell Bebee, in Little Rock, Arkansas.  His greatest bragging rights were his three grandchildren, Trenton, Alec and Kendyl Gorman who brought untold laughter and love into his life.   Don was raised in Louisiana and profoundly enjoyed LSU Arkansas rivalries and Sunday calls with his surviving siblings, Darlene Freshour,  Phyllis Ryan, Jacque Bebee and David Otterbine.   Don had a love of the outdoors and found himself canoeing the rivers, summer camping and always attempting to win the family imposed fishing competitions of the first, largest, most and prettiest fish... for a beer.   He is also survived by a community of joy-inducing family and friends from coast to coast to Hawaii and back who all shared in his smoked meats and spicy salsa that had more than one of them crying.  Known for his selfless desire to support the underserved and under-represented and the untold number of homeless fed by him and given a bed… the juvenille ‘delinquents’ given a new life, the women safe in shelters, and the hungry teenagers given a bowl of gumbo and an ear.   Don will be celebrated in his love for his family, friends and an untold gatherings around food, stories and hot peppers.  In lieu of flowers, we are asking for donations to the Arkansas Food Bank, where he has been volunteering with love.  May we continue feeding those in need and carry on his spirit.
