Donald's obituary
IN LOVING MEMORY OF DONALD M. BAUGHMAN
Donald MacKinnon Baughman, 61, of Scarsdale, NY, passed away on December 14, 2023. Donald was born on January 17, 1962 to Donald and Grace Baughman. He was an older brother to Douglas and Dennis Baughman. A loving father to Samantha Baughman and Sarah O’Connor and a great friend to many.
After graduating from Eastchester High School and attending SUNY Delhi, Donald went on to have a successful career in construction as a project manager of many high-end buildings in New York City. One of his proudest projects was 100 Norfolk on the Lower East Side of Manhattan.
Donald's simple pleasures in life included riding his Harley Davidson with the Redrum Motorcycle Club of Hudson Valley, New York, watching New York Rangers hockey and Cleveland Browns football with his friends at Mickey Spillane’s and spending quality time with his daughters.
On behalf of the Baughman family we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who showed your support, love and kindness during this difficult time.
A Tribute Message to Our Dad
To our amazing dad, I want to say thank you. Thank you for your guidance, being our biggest supporter and for your unconditional love. Sarah and I can never put into words how much you mean to us but I hope this message can come close.
You were the best dad we could have ever asked for. Dedicating your weekends to traveling around New York and Connecticut to coach us in hockey, taking us to Long Beach in the summers and never missing an important moment in either of our lives.
You never hesitated to say yes to doing anything either of us asked. You went to concerts, rode the Coney Island roller coaster and danced with Sarah at her wedding. You went to photography festivals, art exhibits and drove me across the country for a new beginning.
Life was so much better because you were in it. You have given us gifts that are more precious than anything in this world. So many memories we are so grateful to have had with you, moments Sarah and I will treasure. As we say goodbye, we hope to honor you and continue to make you proud. Your love will live on forever in our hearts.
Love You Always Dad,
Samantha and Sarah
