**Obituary for Donald Arthur Abramson (Heitman)**
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Arthur Abramson (Heitman), age 78, who left us on November 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Don was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, friend and uncle whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone he met.
Born on September 27, 1946, Don faced the challenges of life early on, losing both of his parents as a young boy. Despite these hardships, he grew to embody the values of strength, resilience, and love. At the age of 17, he married his high school sweetheart, Heidi, and together they built a beautiful life, celebrating an incredible 60 years of marriage that showcased their deep unconditional love and commitment to one another.
Don was the proud father of four children: Cheryl, Ryan, Melissa, and Lucie. He was a loving and supportive father, always participating in their lives, encouraging them to pursue their dreams, and instilling the importance of family. His affection extended to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and pride.
A veteran who served his country honorably, Don carried the spirit of camaraderie and service throughout his life. He had a few friends that he loved and many that loved him. His laughter, smile and stories will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Don is survived by his beloved wife, Heidi; his four children, Cheryl, Ryan, Melissa, and Lucie, and their spouses; his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings and their children, who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts.
A celebration of life honoring Don will be held on January 11, 2025 at 1pm at the Moon Valley Club House on Manuella ln, in Sonoma Ca.
Don will be remembered for his unwavering love for his wife, his commitment to his family, and the mark he left on the hearts of those who knew him. Though he has departed from this world but not our hearts, his spirit will continue to shine brightly in the lives of his loved ones.
