Donal Lee Hollihan Jr., 61, of Indio, CA, passed away on December 27, 2022 after a brief battle with cancer.

Donal was born on January 24, 1961 to Donal Hollihan Sr. and Lorraine Gwinn in Long Beach, CA, though he grew up in McCloud, CA, a small town near Mount Shasta. After a rebellious upbringing up north, he moved back to southern California to live with his father and step mother. In Southern California he met his first wife and they had their four children. Donal later remarried to his second wife who had three children of her own and together they created a large blended family. Donal was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of his children and always tried his best to support them. In addition to being a great father, Donal was also a passionate grandfather and could often be found playing with his grandchildren when he wasn’t at home.


Anyone who knew Donal knew that he was the most loving friend, father, papa, and husband anybody could ask for. Donal is survived by his wife Deborah and his eight children, Micheal Johnson, Andrew Hollihan, Ashley Sartor, Amanda Bodholdt, Alan Siebuhr, Mallory Siebuhr, Kate Siebuhr, and Arielle Hollihan, and in addition he is survived by his four grandchildren, Izzy Hollihan, Josie Hollihan, Lynlee Sartor and Stone Sartor.
