Don Lee Stevenson, age 72, of Stone Creek, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, February 26th at his son’s residence in Rotonda West, FL.

Born in Canton, OH on September 23rd, 1953, Don was the son of the late Ralph Stevenson and Dorothy Stevenson Ohler of Canton, OH.  He was also proceeded in death by his youngest sister, Shari Clarke.

Don graduated in 1971 from New Philadelphia High School.  After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served his country for three years.  Don was a retired United States Postal worker, retiring in 2004.  Don had a love for football and basketball and during his retirement he coached football and basketball for the Newcomerstown Junior High School and also coached football for the Sebring Trojans.  

Don will be deeply missed by his children, daughter Maria(Rhett) Staehling of Plano, TX and son Tyler Stevenson of Rotonda West, FL; his grandchildren Drew, Grant and Edie Staehling all of Plano, TX; brothers John(Barb) Stevenson of Northport, FL, William(Dawn) Stevenson of North Madison, OH and sister Debbie(Jeff) Hanni of Stone Creek, OH, many nieces and nephews and special someone Lori Stevenson of Rotonda West, FL and true friend Darin Poe of West Lafayette, OH. 

 A special thank you to the entire staff of Sycamore Nursing Home for the great care they provided to Don the past two years.

As per Don’s wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral held.
