I remember Don from when he visited wonderful Sue on Vermont Ave., Phoenix.  He was always sweet, smart and honest.
We did a lot of things together and one of the things I remember most clearly was when he first gave me a ride in his turbo Porsche … it was sooo fast it made my hair stand straight up and he loved it and oh he loved that car. That and the times we played golf with “ a grand to lose”. We laughed so hard when we heard somebody say that on the course. We never forgot it … and repeated it every chance we got.

Saying goodbye is never easy. But Don enriched all our lives. We carry a part of him in our hearts forever.

Control Data. This company and the work started a 50 + year relationship. Yes, there was the work. But oh the fun. There was flag football, softball and more. Then there was golf (Don, Stan G, Jan S, John C and Doug W). And the ladies. Mo, Dollie and Bonnie.

And of course. The CAR. A 911 Porsche Carrera. Wow. Don was the envy of all.

And the photos. Wilson’s depart in a 1964 VW Karmann Ghia for points N, S, E, W. (A photo that sits on our shelf still today).

And the ski trip! Grand Targhee Ski Resort (Idaho).  The crew: Don, John C, Jan S and Bonnie & Doug W)

Yes. Many, many years between then and now. But Don always found a moment to say “hey.” And while separated by miles our relationship refused to be broken.

Don thanks!! For the fun, tips, love and most of all the memories.

Till we meet again. See you on the other side.

Bonnie and Doug Wilson

My heart goes out to all of your family. Don was a great guy, and football season will never be the same without him!

Wishing you peace and comfort.

Such a brave man. Brave;u fought Parkinson's for decades. Very admirable.

Grandfather Don — with Don Ben Evayn and Baby Owen
Don and I have been friends since grade school. We had a lot of fun together and loved to play golf. Don was a good man who never had a bad word to say about anybody. God got a good one when Don entered heaven
The only time don got upset with me was when he had just bought his new porsche and i was about to get in his new car with a milk shake but don said nobody eats or drinks in my car. I talked him into letting me drink it in his new car and guess what ….i spilled it all over.
I was best man in not one but two  of his weddings.
We had a special relationship that withstood the test of time.
Don and I were the closest in age of the cousins.
