Don was always there for his shipmates.  He was a steadfast figure in the organization - often quiet but never panicked, never waivered.  He knew his job and was always there to help others when they needed it.  We were lucky to know and have him. 

I had to leave the Seabees because my occupation required more of me - and with that, I wasn’t as close with many as I once had been.  The years have passed, but when  I look back, I always have great memories of Don - and I can see him smiling.   Best of support and love to his family and friends.
