"Some things can be hard to say
Some things can be hard to hear
Some words can just be hard
A song is easy to the ear
Like a friend reaching to help
Can pick me up when I am down
And wipe away me tears
And turn right-side up my frown
I am pleased at its beginning
I anticipate each part
I am richer at its ending
It has given me more heart
There are times I don't need talking to
Don't need lectured by the strong
I'm not looking to read or study
I just need to hear my song
Some things can be hard to say
Some things can be hard to hear
Some words can just be hard
A song is easy to the ear"
