Don's obituary

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Don Gilliam on August 16, 2023. Born on September 19, 1971, in Steubenville, Ohio, Don lived a remarkable life filled with love and laughter. A man of great integrity and warmth, his light will continue to shine on.

In his 51 years, Don touched the lives of many and dedicated his life to studying and teaching the Word of God. His legacy will live on. He is survived by his mother, Terri Gilliam, brother, Michael Gilliam, sister, Angela Mergele, his son, Taylor Gilliam, daughter-in-law, Brynn Stoneman and granddaughter, Brooklyn Gilliam. His spirit will forever be kept alive in the stories shared by those who knew him and his writings in his soon-to-be published book, "Hydration Optimizes Dependable Optic Senses".

In remembrance of Don's life, we ask you to share your favorite memories and stories. His kindness, wisdom, and humor will forever be remembered, and his love will forever be missed.

"Some things can be hard to say

Some things can be hard to hear

Some words can just be hard

A song is easy to the ear

Like a friend reaching to help

Can pick me up when I am down

And wipe away me tears

And turn right-side up my frown

I am pleased at its beginning

I anticipate each part

I am richer at its ending

It has given me more heart

There are times I don't need talking to

Don't need lectured by the strong

I'm not looking to read or study

I just need to hear my song

Some things can be hard to say

Some things can be hard to hear

Some words can just be hard

A song is easy to the ear"
