I did not know Dolores personally, but something about her story stayed with me.
Anyone who shows up year after year, supports others, and becomes someone people can truly count on has lived a life that matters. You do not earn a name like “The Hawk” without being sharp, attentive, and trusted. That kind of presence leaves an impression that lasts.
Having already lost both of my parents, I felt compelled to pause and acknowledge her life. I know how much it means when someone takes a moment to recognize the person behind the years. And I cannot help but believe that if the friends who went before her could, they would be here adding their voices and her impact as well.
What a meaningful life to be remembered this way.
Thinking of all who knew and loved her.
Steve and Dawn, I am thinking of you and wishing you peace. What a gift it is to have had her for so many years, and what a legacy she leaves through both of you.

Steve and Dawn, I'm so sorry for your loss. I remember your mom from a few of the Bill Gove TM Club meetings and mostly how proud you were of her. A part of her lives on in you, Steve. May her memory be a blessing.

Your mom was truly the best mother-in-law anyone could ever hope for. I feel so incredibly lucky to have had her not only as family, but as a dear friend and partner in so many wonderful adventures. She brought kindness, honesty, and such a vibrant spirit to everything she did, and I’ll never forget how she could fast outwalk just about anyone!
I will deeply miss the long conversations we shared, the trips and cruises we enjoyed together, and most of all, her constant, loving presence in our lives.
Rest in peace, Mom. You will be so deeply missed.
