Our few days in Destin every Aug for the pharmacy convention were so special. We caught up with each other & spent as much time as possible having fun.
I miss Dee & our good times together.

I have such fond memories of this sweet lady. I worked for this family for 35 plus years and we shared lots of laughter, tears of sadness, family vacations, joyous family occurrences, but most of all, Dee always had my back. She looked after me in every aspect and I had the utmost respect for her. I would work at the Hiawassee pharmacy and she was always a gracious host. We enjoyed many concerts there with her sister. Dee was a passive soul that loved her family and friends. The one thing about Dee that I will always treasure is that she “always had my back”. She will be missed. Prayers for her precious daughter, granddaughter, and grandson.

How do I put into words what a special part of my childhood & some of my most precious memories growing up Dee was. Her and her sister Val always made me feel included in everything I got the privilege of tagging along to attend. It was always fun not knowing what adventures they would take me on next! My fondest memories that I keep close to my heart and forever will are when Dee took mom & I and a few other of there girl friends to Charleston, SC, I had a blast!! But the most cherished memories I have are the countless concerts I got to attend with my mom (Michele Shelton), Dee & her sister Val. Vince Gil, Travis Tritt, Patty Loveless & countless others. She instilled my love for music that I still carry with me to this day! Last month I took my daughter to her first concert (Morgan Wallen) and I just pray that I can give my little girl memories to carry in her heart thru this thing called life like Miss Dee gave me all those years ago!! I loved her like she was family and in all reality she was my family, her and Miss Val as well!! My deepest condolences to all of her family, she was one of a kind!
Until we meet again, the next concerts on me!
With all of my love and fondest memories,

I meet Dee one year at her daughter’s house for Christmas many years ago. We all were going through some hard times and I was a little apprehensive going but Dee welcomed me with open arms. Her kindness, love, and laughter was infectious. It will be one of my most cherished memories and really taught me how friends are truly family! You will be missed ❤️

Although I never met your mom I know she was very loved through all of the stories you’d tell me about her relationship with Clay, Maddie and of course you. Y’all had a very special bond.
I remember years ago when she let you, me, and Dana stay at her house for the weekend. Yes, everyone in town knew her!
She is at peace and out of pain now and reunited with all sorts of friends and family.
