Dolores's obituary
Dolores "Dee" (Reed, Hooley) McCusker, a loving and exuberant woman, lost her long battle with Dementia and passed away on June 23, 2025. Born on May 21, 1945, Dolores, fondly known as Dee or little Red, demonstrated a zest for life, a feisty spirit, and an unfiltered sense of humour that brought joy to those around her. Her life was a testimony to resilience, showing that no matter what life throws at you, you can keep living and enjoy it.
While Dolores was predeceased by her sister Maryanne Passarella, her grandsons James Hopkins and Collyn Headrick/Jensen, her parents Floyd Reed and Mary Caudo, and her ex-husbands Vincent McCusker SR and William "Bill" Hooley, she lives on in the hearts of a loving family. She is survived by her children Donna McCusker, Vincent (Joan) McCusker, Kimberly (Clifford)Hall, and Toni (Toby) Jensen, and her brothers Robert and Ronald (Rita) Reed, and her sister Patricia Donaldson.
Dolores’ legacy continues through her loving 14 grandchildren, Kristina Lane, Sandra Housel and Kelly Morgan, Clifford "CJ" Hall, Carissa Conklin, Tyler and Ryan McCusker, Megan Blackner, Braxton, Hannah, Brealyne, Grace, and Destiny Jensen as well as 12 Great Grandkids. Each one was a source of immense pride and joy to her.
Dolores' journey saw her moving to Apache Junction, AZ in 1978, and later to Utah in 2003 and many places in between. Her life was marked by the birth of her children, marriage, divorce, and the joyous arrival of many grandchildren. Her most cherished accomplishments were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who she loved dearly.
She was a strong-willed woman with an Italian flair. Dolores was as renowned for her dancing the two step as she was for her jokes and chasing the kids around with her false teeth. She was a radiant presence that lit up every room she entered, bringing laughter and love to all who knew her. Yet, for all her strength and humour, it is her legacy of family love and unity that will be her most significant achievement. Dolores McCusker’s memory will live on in the hearts of her beloved family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
