Pat's obituary
Dolores Eleanor Cure, affectionately known as Pat, has taken her leave from this earthly stage, passing peacefully on the 9th of July, 2023, in La Quinta, California. Born on the 5th day of August, 1932, in the historic city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Pat graced this world for a span of 90 years, her spirit remaining undimmed despite the cruel affliction of Alzheimer's and Dementia.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Luanne Carter, her son, Steve Earley, three cherished grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, who will each carry a part of her legacy forward.
Pat's life was a rich tapestry woven with love, joy, and simple pleasures. She had a heart that knew no bounds, giving freely of herself, her time, and her resources, and finding joy in the happiness of others. Always thoughtful, her actions and words reflected a depth of understanding and empathy that endeared her to all who knew her.
Pat found joy in life's simple pleasures. She was a regular at the local bingo hall, where she relished the thrill of the game and the camaraderie of fellow players. She loved the beach, often sitting on the sand, watching as the sun bid farewell to the day. A simple peanut butter sandwich and a good cup of coffee were among her favorite indulgences, which clearly spoke of her unpretentious nature.
Having an eye for the unique and the beautiful, she spent many weekend mornings at local swap meets, searching for that perfect knick-knack that would catch her fancy.
As is often quoted from Shakespeare, "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players." Pat played her part with grace, warmth, and an indomitable spirit. Her exit from this stage leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
So, here's to Pat, a woman of substance, a beacon of love and generosity, a spirited soul who brought joy to those around her. Dolores Eleanor Cure, known and loved as Pat, your final curtain may have fallen, but your performance will forever be remembered.
