Dolly Vivian's obituary
Dolly Vivian Estep always had a bag packed and ready to go on a trip or her next adventure. She was never afraid to wear mismatched clothes, if she thought they looked good together, or good on her. Because she was her own person and if she thought yellow and purple went together, then they did.
Dolly was born on April 12, 1921, in Winifrede, WV, to parents Evelyn Adkins and David Sharp Estep. She got married to Herbert Earl Thompson on Sept. 20 1942. They lived most of their life in Comfort, WV, up Joes Creek. They had four children. David Robert Thompson, Katherine Kay Thompson, Rita Carol Thompson, and Wanda Diane Thompson.
Their son and his wife, Myrtle Ellen Griffith Thompson, moved in right next to them in Joes Creek, Comfort, WV.
Their children went on to have kids, and they become grandparents, then great-grandparents.
She died on July, 16 1984, and is buried right next to her parents and her brother, in Drawdy Cemetery.
She was my great-grandmother, and I wish I could have met her before she passed, I was told I acted like her sometimes, with my mismatched clothes.
