In the early 1980"s there was the Tri State Veterinary Meeting in Jackson Hole Wyoming. MWI Veterinary Supply put on a team roping for veterinarians and their families. Gary found out about it, loaded up Lu and his horse and headed north. Gary roped with Gary Davis and others. Shirley and I roped as well . It was well attended and lots of fun. What great memories and our friendship grew ever since.

I learned the hard way to never stand next to him and his horse that was stringhalted after a lot of rain. The ground was very muddy that day and I was have a nice conversation with him. You can only imagine how hard he was laughing at me covered in mud from his horse. Love that man!!

Gary was not only a Great Vet but he was a Great Soul. He would take the time to explain anything and everything you had a question about. You will forever live in my heart.
