Djurdja's obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Djurdja "Baka" Konstantinovic who departed peacefully from this world on October 2, 2023. Born on April 10, 1935, Djurdja lived a full and enriching life, radiating warmth and compassion to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Djurdja was a beacon of love and resilience, widely recognized as an extraordinary cook, who used her culinary talents to bring her family together, particularly during the holidays. Her kitchen was her realm, and through her dishes, she expressed her affection, making every family gathering memorable and meaningful.
Djurdja leaves behind a loving family that will forever cherish her memories. She is survived by her sister, Nada and three brothers: Bozo, Dado, and Zlatko Horvatich. Her granddaughters, Alicia Eustis and Monique Konstantinovic. Her nephews, Andrew Konstantinovich, Ivica, Marijan, and Branko. Her Niece, Dubravka. Her caregiver, Karina Morales who provided unwavering support in companionship, who has now also been absorbed as part of the family.
A Memorial Service to honor Djurdja's life will be held on October 14, 2023, at 11:00 AM, at the Most Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Gulfport, Florida. As we fondly remember Djurdja, we invite all those whose lives were touched by her to join us in this tribute and celebration of a life beautifully lived.
In the gentle murmuring of the wind, the aroma of simmering stews, and the joy of familial gatherings, we remember Djurdja "Baka" Konstantinovic. Today and always, she continues to dwell in our hearts and in the warmth of our memories. Farewell, dear Djurdja, until we meet again.
