Djenzy's obituary
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Djenzy Garcia Castro, a remarkable man whose life was filled with vibrancy and a profound love for all aspects of culture. Djenzy was born on December 28, 1993, and departed from us on June 26, 2025.
Djenzy was a man of diverse tastes, particularly when it came to cuisine. His favourites encompassed the warm, hearty Pupusa, and the soothing bowl of Pho. He had a penchant for simple yet refreshing drinks, with water, lemonade, and slushies being his go-to choices.
An ardent reader, Djenzy held The Bible in high reverence. His taste in music was as eclectic as his character. He found solace in the songs of Rosalia, Charles Aznavour, Lauryn Hill, and La India. His love for storytelling and character development was evident in his fondness for TV Shows like 'La Veneno' and 'Reba'.
Djenzy lived with an insatiable thirst for knowledge and was always keen on sharing it with those who were willing to learn. His preferred physical activities were long walks and hiking, both of which reflected his love for nature and tranquility. Cuba, with its cultural richness and beautiful landscapes, was his preferred vacation spot.
The color that resonated with Djenzy's aesthetic preference was Clear – a reflection of his transparent, straightforward personality. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the life he led, one filled with learning, sharing, and love. He will be deeply missed. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
