Dixie was such a great person. You could talk to her about anything. She always told me when I worked in H.R. at Walmart, don’t let them big bosses bug you, they put their pants on the same we do and shit the same way. Always made me laugh. She will be missed by many, but the pain is gone! Raise some hell with Terri and Sue!! ❤️❤️
Angie and Gina - I'm so sorry for your loss. I was probably 12 or 13 when I first met Dixie. It seems like it may have been at a Carder family picnic. I remember how kind and pretty she was. I feel like she went out of her way to pay attention to a young kid when she didn't have to. We moved away from Iowa shortly thereafter and she and your dad were traveling with the military, so it's likely our paths didn't cross much after that. I was happy to reconnect with her on FB and see the love she clearly shared with her daughters and grandchildren. I'll be keeping both of you and your families in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.
Dixie was so kind and bubbly. I worked with her for many years at Wal Mart and stayed in touch after she retired. She will be missed. My condolences to all who knew and loved her.
Mom and her sisters always get together for a sisters' retreat around Halloween. It's been so fun seeing the costumes over the years. Here's Mom using my actual pants from high school to complete her "hippie" costume.
