Dinah Earle Leonard, 74, of Wimberley, Texas, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2018. Dinah will be lovingly remembered by family, friends, and her beloved husband of 54 years, Bill.

Dinah Earle Lunsford was born on July 15, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky. Her childhood was spent on her family’s dairy farm in Missouri. As a teenager, she moved to Texas and attended San Marcos Baptist Academy. Dinah attended Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas on a piano scholarship. That is where she met the love of her life, Bill. Bill and Dinah were married on June 21, 1963 in Seabrook, Texas.

Dinah and Bill found their way to the Texas Hill Country and made their home in Dripping Springs, Texas. Dinah played the piano in the Methodist Church for many years, while raising her family and traveling the world with Bill. When they became empty-nesters, Dinah and Bill built their second home in the Sangre de Cristos Mountains of New Mexico. Dinah, a die-hard Dallas Cowboy fan with a wicked sense of humor, fell in love with New Mexico and the people she met along the way. Dinah fiercely loved her family and friends and will be missed by all.

Dinah was preceded in death by her parents Harry Lunsford and Aubrey & Betty Frazier, her sisters and their spouses Judy & Bill Morrison and Linda & Terry Graffam, and many friends. She is survived by her husband Bill, 2 children and their spouses Pat & Carrie Leonard, and Julie & Tom Armiger, grandchildren T.J, Katie, Ryan, Delaney, Maggie, Grace, and Julia, step-sister Barbara Frazier and many nieces and nephews.

An informal memorial and gathering of friends and family will be held on March 3, 2018 at Stanley’s Farmhouse, 13187 Fitzhugh Road, Austin, Texas, 78736, beginning at 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you send your favorite memories of Dinah to The Leonards at, P.O. Box 3043, Wimberley, TX, 78767; or email jarmiger@msn.com.
