Dina's obituary
Dina Souza, 93, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2021, after a period of declining health. She was a lifelong resident of Hudson, MA.
She is now reunited with her beloved husband of 61 years, Frank Souza Sr, who passed away in April of 2010.
She was a loving Mother to her son, Frank Souza Jr. and his wife, Kathy of Wentworth, NH.
Dina adored her two grandchildren, Craig Souza, and his wife Anna of Lancaster, MA and Tristen Ladden, and her husband Patrick of West Boylston, MA.
She had a very special place in her heart for her five great-grandsons. Cody, Tyler, Luke, and Shane Ladden of West Boylston, MA and Maxwell Souza of Lancaster, MA.
Dina lived a vivacious life. She was always up for an adventure, whether it was camping with her family, tubing the Saco River at age 82, playing cards in Las Vegas, or going to see Englebert Humperdinck at the casino on her 90th birthday. She enjoyed cocktail hour and going for coffee with her sister and her friends every week.
She loved spending time with family at Frank and Kathy’s house in NH. Many nights involved very competitive card games, where her colorful language would be on display.
She leaves behind a sister, Olga Batista along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by two brothers, Manuel and Armando Calvao.
The family would like to thank the visiting nurses from Pemi-Baker Community Health for their compassion and support, especially Fred, Sue, and Paula.
Calling hours are at Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home in Hudson, MA on Weds. 8/11/2021 from 5-8pm. A funeral mass will take place at St. Michael’s church in Hudson, MA on Thursday 8/12/2021 at 11 am.
