Digna's obituary

Digna Auli, age 75, of Yorktown Heights, passed away on September 21, 2025. Born in Puerto Rico in 1950 to Modesto and Carmen Maldonado Cruz, she graduated from Theodore Roosevelt High School in the Bronx in 1969 and continued her studies at Manhattan College.

Digna was a dedicated Branch Manager at Citibank for 46 years, retiring in 2015. In 1972, she married John R. Auli at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in the Bronx. She will be remembered for her deep love of family, her passion for gardening and caring for animals, and her generous support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the American Cancer Society, and the Boys Club.

She is survived by her husband, John R. Auli; her son, Jonathan Auli; her daughter, Chastity Auli-Ludeke; her grandchildren: Ethan Auli, Caitlyn Pereira, Frank Flores, Aaron Flores, and Elisa Flores; and her sister, Zenaida Cruz.

A Memorial Service will be held on October 4th, from 12 to 2 pm, at Calvary Chapel of Westchester, 99 Baron de Hirsch Road, Crompond, NY 10517. Interment will take place at Kensco Cemetery in Valhalla, NY at a later date.

Digna’s legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will be cherished by all who knew her.
