Dianna married the love of her life, Rick Whittle, on July 28, 1969. Together, they welcomed their daughter, Lanie Whittle-Daggett, on January 15, 1970. Rick preceded Dianna in death in 2008, and she is also preceded by her parents, Wauneta and Calvin Egloff, and her father-in-law, Quince Whittle. Dianna is survived by her devoted daughter, Lanie, her son-in-law, Bill Daggett Jr., her treasured grandchildren, Calvin and Daisy Whittle-Daggett, and her dear mother-in-law, Ardith Whittle.
Dianna had a distinguished 40-year career at Methodist Hospital, where she began as a nurse and eventually became the Director of Integrated Services for the Surgical Department. She was known for her kind and compassionate leadership and her ability to solve any problem. After Rick's passing, Dianna embarked on a new chapter as President of ASAP Express, a regional trucking and delivery service in the Midwest, where she continued to inspire those around her with her leadership and dedication.
Dianna's passions extended beyond her professional life. She had a green thumb and loved landscaping and flowers. A fervent Nebraska football and volleyball fan, Dianna also had an adventurous spirit, enjoying glamping with her girlfriends and road-tripping across the country to visit her children and grandchildren in Santa Cruz, California. Her favorite retreats included her beautiful condo in Panama City Beach, Florida where she enjoyed watching the dolphins and sunsets.
Dianna's warmth, strength, and unyielding love for her family and friends touched the lives of many. She will be remembered for her youthful spirit, her boundless generosity, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a memorial fund in her honor. These funds will be distributed to causes close to Dianna’s heart.
Dianna L. Whittle's legacy of love, dedication, and resilience will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
