Diane's obituary

Diane Kay Watkins, age 73, of West Jordan, Utah, passed away in her home on October 4, 2019.

Diane was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who loved to learn new things and experience life in a full and joyous manner.

She was born on September 29th , 1946 in St. Cloud, Minnesota to Lloyd and Ann Rudnitski. Along with her brother and sisters, she grew up on a dairy farm where she learned the value of hard work and family responsibility.

After graduation from St. Cloud High School, she moved to Torrance, California and began her career as a beautician. She lived in California, married and had two children with her first husband Alex Nieczyporowicz (deceased). After marrying second husband, Barry Bartholomew (deceased), she relocated with her family to the Salt Lake City area where she continued her work as a licensed beautician until her retirement. In 1986 she married Richard Watkins and they enjoyed a long life together travelling and as active members of the local Elks Lodge and Alpine Country Club until his death in 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters Carol Marks and Deborah Rudnitski.

Diane is survived by her son Leon Nieczyporowicz of Plano, Texas and his wife Betty, and her son David Nieczyporowicz of Whangari, New Zealand and his partner Sharon More; her grandchildren Noel Kay, Victor Ray and Kara Cecile Nieczyporowicz; her brother Roger Rudnitski of New Prague, MN and sisters Kathy Petron of Royalton, MN and Lonita Fortier of St. Paul, MN.

A memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 25 at Serenity Funeral Home, Draper .12278 S. Lone Peak Parkway.
