On June 17th, 2025, Diane Stern, a beacon of love and dedication to her family and community, peacefully crossed the threshold of life. Diane's life was built around her family and home, and her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her. Diane leaves behind her devoted husband of many joyous years, Albert "Howard" Stern. Her radiant presence and love will be profoundly missed by her adoring sons and daughter in law, Derek and Heather  Stern, and Joseph Stern.  She was gifted with the joy of being a grandmother to Isabelle and Kolton Stern. In addition, she is survived by her devoted brothers, Dennis Perry, spouse to Carol, and Darrel Perry, whose companionship and brotherly love brought much joy to her life. She was predeceased by her loving parents, John and Helen Perry, whose memory she kept alive through her vibrant storytelling and unwavering love for family. Her zest for life was evident in her passion for attending her grandchildren's sporting events, scouring yard sales for hidden treasures, and lounging at home with Howard. The subtle joys she found in these passions were testament to her perspective on life - the value of simply being present and cherishing the seemingly mundane moments with loved ones. Diane attended Edgewood High School, Blake Road, Ashtabula, OH, graduated in 1967, and continued to be a proud alumni throughout her life. A Celebration of Life for Diane Stern will be held on June 22nd, 2025, from 5-7pm at Guerriero Funeral Homes in Ashtabula Ohio. In her memory, loved ones are invited to share stories, laughter, and tears; the essence that makes life so precious and fleeting. In the words of Diane, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." As we mourn the physical absence of Diane, let us take a leaf from her book and celebrate the beautiful journey of her life: a life lived with a full heart, infectious smile, and an inexhaustible capacity to love.
