With profound sadness the family of Diane Delores Schauer-Kovalenko announces her passing peacefully on December 10th, 2024 at the age of 82. Diane had an insurmountable love for her children and grandchildren. Her kindness and positive attitude will always be remembered.

She was born in Chicago to Dominick and Antoinette Abbate on June 9th, 1942.

Diane is preceded in death by her husband Ronald Kovalenko and her son Michael Schauer.

She is survived by her daughter Annmarie Schauer, sons Michael (Beth) and Dion (Dawn)Kovalenko as well as her grandchildren Brittany Chapman (Ryan) Shane Duncan, Michael, Amanda, Ashley, Samuel, Christopher, Amanda and Alexander Kovalenko. Along with her two great grandchildren Amara and Callum Chapman.

Services will be held at St. Francis de Sales church in Lake Zurich on Saturday December 21st at 1:00pm.
