Diane Lynn McCormick, 55, of Gardendale AL, passed away on May 2.

Diane was born on April 4, 1967, to Charles and Pauline McCormick, in Memphis TN. Diane graduated from Briarcrest Christian School in 1985, then continued on to study at University of Memphis. After graduating with a degree in English literature, she enjoyed a long career with Fedex as a courier.

In 1997, Diane met her life partner, Roxanne Mitchell of Birmingham. Diane became "bonus mom" to Roxanne's 2 children, Alex and Krysta.

Diane was a dog lover and was mom to many lucky pooches over the years. At the time of her death, her canine son was JD McCormick, who sorely misses her and is being cared for by Diane's family.

In childhood and later on during her career at FedEx, Diane was fortunate to have traveled extensively in the US and Europe, and other destinations worldwide.

Diane was preceded in death by her beloved parents Charles and Pauline. She is survived by her partner Roxanne Mitchell, children Alex Mitchell and Krysta Helveston (Michael), grandson Kaleb Helveston, all of Gardendale; and her longtime friends the Talley family of Birmingham.
