Background
The Animal Services staff cares for and homes approximately 3,000 dogs, cats, horses, and livestock annually. We accept stray animals of all conditions and are proud of our “no-kill” live release rate of 94.3% in 2018, one of the highest in California for open intake shelters. Our Animal Services Center is also the only shelter facility in the South Bay that provides services for livestock. Thousands of Santa Clara County residents have added to their families by adopting at the shelter. You can be part of our lifesaving mission by making a donation today
