Diane's obituary
attacked her lungs and other organs. She was surrounded by family who loved her in her final hours.
Diane was born to George and Dorothy Nelan on March 9, 1948 in East Peoria, IL. She and her family moved from IL to AZ when she was a year old.
As a teenager, Diane sang in the school choir. Singing and dancing remained a favorite pasttime throughout much of her life. Diane enjoyed spending
time with family and friends, thrift shopping, and watching her team, the Green Bay Packers, with husband David. Before she became ill, she was frequently
up for fun and crazy adventures. She was a very outgoing person, who loved to meet new people, and fiercely loved her family and friends, including numerous
foster children who she was "Nana" to, and anyone who "needed a mom".
Diane worked as a hairdresser for many years while her children were growing up, and then entered the world of administrative assistanting. She taught
children in Sunday School off and on for many years as well. Diane had a strong faith in God, which was evident in how she lived her life in loving others.
Her favorite scripture was Jer. 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you
hope and a future".
Diane joins both of her parents, as well as her four siblings in Heaven. She is survived by her husband David, children Nancy, Scott, and Doug (Courtney) Berry,
step-children Holandia (Louis) Rasor, and Tency (Todd) Rasmussen; along with 14 grandchildren and 2 furbabies (Toby & KitKat). A Celebration of Life service
will be held at a later date.
