Diane Carlyn Cowan Fingers, 70, of Oxon Hill, MD was born on May 24, 1 951 to Leroy Cowan, Sr. and the late Joyce Seldon Cowan. On the evening of April 12, 2022, Diane entered eternal rest after a courageous 12 year battle with metastatic breast cancer. Mrs. Fingers was an educator and principal in the Prince George’s County Public School system, retiring in 2012 after 38 years. She is a graduate of Bowie State College and George Washington University and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. She was a minister at Fruit of the Holy Spirit Ministries. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Earnest P. Fingers; her father Leroy, Sr.; two sons Nathaniel  and Bryan; her daughter Carlyn; step-children LaManns, Earnest M., Rodney, and Nicole; her brother Leroy Cowan, Jr.; three grandchildren; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and relatives.
