Diane and I shared many childhood memories growing up as her gma Gilbert lived across the street from us in Janesville and my family had a cottage on Lake Couderay which was about 15 min from their resort on Grindstone Lake. We would play with our Barbies and have sleepovers. Once at gma Gilbert's house we were jumping on one of the antique beds and broke the bedrail...yikes! We were in deep doodoo! Irma Timm gave us a serious talking to! Summers up north were awesome. After Diane and Jerry got their resort chores done, we would go water skiing. Diane liked to go fishing but her family wasn't into that so my dad would take us. One evening we were out on Grindstone fishing for crappie . When it started to rain the fish started biting. The harder it rained the faster the fish would bite. My dad couldn't net them fast enough. We all were soaking wet and laughing so hard we didn't care. Best mess of 12-13 inch crappies I ever saw!!! One other thing I remember is Diane and I were with her mom at their resort to watch the famous moon landing on TV.

Diane was an amazing social worker and when we worked together at St Joe’s she was on top of every detail and we really relied on her expertise and wisdom.
She spoke so highly of her family and loved you all with a vengeance.
I am sorry that I will not be able to see her again and hear her laugh.
