Diane's obituary

Diane L. Andis (Friend) Loving Mother to Jennifer Rodriguez (North Hollywood, Ca) Barbara Friend (Lomita, Ca) and Billy Andis (Lomita, Ca), Grandmother to Elisha De la Cruz (Tucson, Az) Gustavo De la Cruz (Anaheim, Ca) Kyle De la Cruz (Lomita, Ca) Jesse De la Cruz (Tarzana, Ca) Cameron Barnard (Torrance, Ca), Great Grandmother to Tino, Nixon , Reagan and Maddy (she didn't get a chance to meet Michael, Carlos and Axel but was excited to have them added to the list of great grandkids!), Sister to Patricia Owens (deceased), Billie Friend (Torrance, Ca), Skip Friend ( Lomita, Ca), Auntie to Diana, Monica, Jessica, Brenda and Jason and Friend to many.

Diane enjoyed gardening, reading,  going for walks and being with family.   She was the family caretaker, helping to care for her grandchildren and great grandchildren for years and while she very much enjoyed doing that...not before her first cup of coffee ☕😉.  She was so full of love and forgiveness, even to those who didn't deserve it.   She had such a great sense of humor , dark and twisted....but great.  She loved games, playing board games and card games but especially trivia games, of course she did...she rarely got an answer wrong! 7pm every night was leave her alone time, because Jeopardy was on.

She offered her friendship easily and really meant it,   when the palliative care nurse asked what she was fighting so hard to live for she answered "my children, grandchildren, my family , friends and my online gaming friends"🕹️🎮 online games became a huge part of her social activity in the last few years as she was unable to get out as much 💖

Before there was Google, there was Diane...or Ma, Goey, Grams, Grandma.... If anyone in the family needed to know something, anything... from how to make brown gravy from scratch, to what was that guy's name from that one movie 🎥? We all called her, and she always had the answer.

She is going to be so very missed, her humor, sarcasm , wit, love and light 🕯️ can never be replaced or forgotten.
