Diana's obituary
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Diana "Momma DD" Vesey-Hall, who left us on April 22, 2023. Born on August 15, 1958, Diana was a loving and devoted mother, sister, and friend, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Diana is survived by her children: Beth Vesey, LaTrish Hall, Warren Hall, Rodney Vesey, and Whitney Vesey. She was predeceased by her son, Dion James Hall Sr., sister Cremonia Vesey-Evans, niece Victoria Vesey, mother Cremonia Vesey, brother James Jhonson, and father Clayton Vesey. Her surviving siblings include Arthur Vesey, Clayton Vesey, Margaret Mays, Lenar Vesey, Denise Vesey, Lawrence Vesey, and Cornell Vesey.
Known as "Momma DD" to many, Diana loved to cook, her specialties being chicken, spaghetti, catfish, and numerous salads and tomatoes. She enjoyed tea, cranberry juice, and pineapple juice, and her favorite TV shows were 227 and Good Times. Some of her cherished movies included Purple Rain, Four Brothers, and Sugar Hill. A talented artist, Diana loved to draw and paint, and her favorite sports team was the Bulls.
An avid fan of games such as Spades, Huck a Buck, and Casino, Diana also enjoyed watching performances by the group Silk. She loved fishing, reading, watching movies, and spending time with her children and siblings. A frequent visitor of Tommy's Cafe, Diana was passionate about cancer research and the colors blue and red.
