OBITUARY
Diana Kathleen Stamler
April 15, 1943 – April 4, 2026
Diana Kathleen Stamler, age 82, passed away peacefully on Holy Saturday, April 4, 2026, to be with the Lord. She was a resident of Hamilton, Ohio at the time of her passing.
Diana was born on April 15, 1943, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to Veary Duane Woods and Dolores Kathleen (Hombaker) Woods.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Dawn Zalner; her niece, Amy Boucher Cronk; and her nephew, Danny Zalner.
She is survived by her husband, Martin Richard Stamler of Florida; her sister, Dolores Woods Clark of Arizona; and her children: Vicki Staton (Daniel) of Ohio, Dana Eldridge (Kevin) of Florida, Jeffrey Stamler of Ohio, Ann Schellenbach of North Carolina, and David Stamler (Melissa) of Colorado. She is also survived by her stepchildren: Janine Stamler Jordan (Kenneth) of Alabama, Lyn Stamler of Nevada, Martin Richard Stamler, Jr., of Maryland, and Suzette Stamler Gonzalez (Shane) of California.
Diana leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 niece, and 1 nephew.
She graduated from Springfield High School in Springfield, Michigan in 1961. She went on to earn her Associate of Science in Nursing from Gadsden State Junior College in Gadsden, Alabama, and dedicated her career to caring for others as an emergency room nurse at Mercy Hospital in Hamilton and Fairfield, Ohio.
Diana had a deep love for animals and operated a cat rescue Non Profit, Oxford Animal Rescue Fund, for 10 years. She found joy in gardening, long-distance cycling, and clog dancing, but most of all in being surrounded by her beloved cats.
She will be remembered for the numerous animals that she rescued through her Non Profit Rescue.
