DiDi's obituary

Diana "DiDi" Neal, a beacon of joy, perseverance, and unwavering love, departed from this world on October 15, 2023. Born on March 3, 1951, DiDi defied life's odds and created a legacy that will reverberate through generations.

DiDi was renowned for her radiant smile that reflected her undying love for life and her family. Her unparalleled bond with her mother and brothers was a testament to the tight-knit family she cherished. She was a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews who will strive to carry forward DiDi's teachings and values.

Despite the challenges that came with severe cerebral palsy, DiDi never allowed her condition to hinder her zest for life. Instead, she harnessed it as a source of inspiration. Initially told she would not live past the age of 16, DiDi proved those predictions wrong, becoming one of the oldest living individuals with her severity of cerebral palsy. This remarkable feat is a testament to DiDi's tenacity and indomitable spirit.

DiDi bestowed upon us precious lessons, teaching us the importance of treating each other with kindness and respect. She inspired us to embrace life with open arms, to find happiness in every moment, and to navigate life’s ups and downs with grace and positivity.

Her legacy is one of perseverance and a boundless love for life. Through her actions and accomplishments, DiDi demonstrated that limitations are only as restrictive as our perceptions of them. Her enduring spirit and her love for life will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing her. DiDi is preseded in death with her mother Ann "gram-gram" Neal, brother James "Rusty" Neal, and her grandparents. She is survived by her brothers; William "Bill" Neal (wife Irene Neal), Micheal "Mickey" Neal (wife Edeen Neal), and Paul Neal(wife Tammy Neal), as well as many nieces and nephews. We all love ans miss her so much.

A celebration of DiDi's life will be held on October 28, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Rumsey Park. Please join us as we honor and remember a remarkable woman who touched our lives in countless ways.
