Diana's obituary

Diana M. (Chan) McCarthy, 56, of Tucson, Arizona passed away, Friday, July 21st, 2023. Diana was born and raised in New Jersey and resided in Avenel, New Jersey before moving to Arizona. She spent her days often with her husband, two dogs, Misty and MiMi, her niece, Erica, and nephews, Kevin and Steven, as well as spending time with her brother, Victor and his wife, Feng Ling. She often went fishing, enjoyed board games, swimming, getting Carvel’s ice cream, and going bowling with her family in Jersey. She brought tradition to the family from gift giving to singing on the phone. Diana lit up any room she walked into with her smile and laughter, she was nicknamed “Laughing Shrimp” since childhood.

Diana is predeceased by her father, Henry K. Chan, and husband, Patrick W. McCarthy. She is survived by her mother, Margaret M. (Yip) Chan; brothers, Victor K. Chan and Norman K. Chan; sister in law, Feng L. Chan; nephews Kevin K. Chan and Steven K. Chan; niece, Erica Chan; and lifelong best friend, Chris. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, and forever in our memories. As Diana always said, and reminded us — Love Always.

Committal services will take place on Tuesday, August 15th, 2023 at 12PM, at Arizona Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Marana, Arizona with burial to follow near her beloved husband, Patrick.
