With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Diana "Mackenzie" Kathleen on May 23, 2024. Diana, also known as Mackenzie, was born on June 13, 1970 and had a life full of passion, dedication, and love that she shared with everyone around her. She preferred the name Diana, but those who knew her well referred to her as Mackenzie, a term of endearment she welcomed.
A faithful attendee of the Lakewood United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas, Diana's spiritual life was enriched by the teachings of the Bible, a book she held close to her heart. Her spiritual journey found a strong base at the church where she contributed in her own unique ways to the community.
Diana made a significant difference in the City of Cambridge YWCA, where she dedicated her time and energy as a volunteer. Her selfless service, combined with her unwavering faith, are testaments to her legacy.
Her personal interests reflected her colourful personality. From her fondness for milk to her favorite band - Blondie, Diana was a woman of diverse tastes. She took great pleasure in watching her favorite TV show, NCIS and her top movie choice was the action-thriller, Atomic Blonde. She was also a passionate supporter of football, relishing the competitive spirit of the game.
In the realm of recreation, Diana found joy in spending time online with her life partner. Her favorite exercise was walking, an activity she indulged in regularly. Her love for exploring new places led her to her favorite vacation spot, Boston, MA, and she held the Boston Museum of Science in high regard.
Diana's favorite color was green, a symbol for her growth, rejuvenation, and her connection with nature. The world may have lost a beautiful soul, but heaven has gained an angel. We will forever remember Diana for the vibrant, compassionate woman she was, and the light and energy she brought into our lives.
