Diana's obituary
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Diana Jean Harris on March 28, 2026. Diana was born on December 21, 1947, in Omaha, Nebraska to Laura and Ed Roza. Along with her older sister Shirley and younger brother Ed, the family moved to California when she was quite young. Diana’s mom Laura remarried to Art Feise, and eventually added five more siblings, Arlene, June, Ted, Lorrie, and Elaine, and two step-brothers Gene and Don Feise, for a total of 10 children in the family. They lived in many places throughout California, including Aptos, Flournoy, Cloverdale, and Cottonwood, just to name just a few. Diana graduated from Cloverdale High School in 1966 and attended Santa Rosa Junior College for a time, before having a baby named Amy.
Diana was married in 1974 to Bill Harris and they eventually moved out to the Harris Ranch in Red Bluff. Marrying Bill added 6 step children to her family: Bob, John, and Virginia Harris, and Janet, Linda, and Bobby Reece. And she soon became a grandma to grandchildren Christopher, Jenny, Malissa, Heather, Desiree, Kenny, Robert, Samantha, Dillan and Blake. She was also known as Auntie Di to so many nieces and nephews, including Christine, Sharon, Michael, and Denise (Shirley), Cheri (Arlene), Shannon, Tasha, Sean, Leah, Holly, and TJ (Lorrie), Cyera, Skylar, Michael (June), Bill, Josh, and Cory (Ed), Scott and Tanya (Ted), Andrew and Nicole (Elaine), Louise, Brett, and Susan, Antoinne (Don), Linda, Joanne and Jimmy (Gene), not necessarily in that order.
Diana had a real green thumb, and made an amazing garden and yard out at the Harris Ranch. She worked for many years with Bill as an APP (Assistant Pump Person). They enjoyed spending their free time boating on Shasta Lake with friends and family, golfing, camping and hosting huge parties at the ranch. After Bill’s passing in 1998, Diana went to work for the Department of Education as a secretary, where she worked until she retired.
Diana, known as Banana to her family, had an easy-going personality, and she loved to have fun and party. She would be the first person to get up and dance, and absolutely loved a sing-a-long with her sisters, or anyone else who wanted to sing with her. Her sweetness was a trait that endeared her to many, and she was never happier than when she was spending time with her family and friends (Roxy, Pam and Marla) and sipping on a cool beverage.
Diana was a woman of humor and she loved to laugh. She laughed and danced her way through the world with a lightness and joy that will be deeply missed by those who were fortunate enough to have known her. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the beautiful soul that was Diana.
She may have left us, but her spirit, love, and sense of humor will forever remain in our hearts. We take comfort in knowing that she's now dancing amongst the stars with her sweet mother Laura, sister June, and husband Bill. Goodbye, Diana. You've left an indelible mark on this world, and you will forever be remembered.
