Diana's obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Diana Davis on May 9, 2023. Born on August 22, 1944, Diana lived a life full of love, laughter, and unwavering spirit, touching the lives of many around her.

Diana is survived by her loving family, including her daughters Wendy Castaneda and her son Jon Walin, her son David Ross, Sherrie Ross, and her cherished grandchildren Shea Ross, Kyrie Ross, Anthony Miller, Michael Hudnall, Josh Walin, Elizabeth Walin, Jonathan Moore, Jayme-lee Davis, Cruz Castaneda, Brysa Castaneda, Antonio Davis, and Jaime Castaneda. Diana was a caring mother and an adoring grandmother, but her heart also ached for her predeceased daughters, Denise Ross and Macey Ross.

Throughout her life, Diana had a passion for music, enjoying artists such as Queensrÿche, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Scorpions, Stevie Nicks, and Dio. Her taste in visual arts leaned towards M.C. Escher and abstract art. As for entertainment, Diana loved watching Grey's Anatomy and House on television, and was captivated by the movie Labyrinth. Her competitive spirit shone through when playing games like the 10,000 dice game, Yahtzee, and gin rummy.

She cherished her time spent rock hunting and practicing her beading skills, always finding joy in these activities. Diana's favorite local spots were Columbia Park and Columbia Point, where she often found solace and relaxation. As someone who could easily be described as an old school biker chic, fun-loving and a caring individual, Diana had a unique presence that was cherished by many.

Throughout her life, Diana was an advocate for understanding and appreciation of others. Her legacy will be one of not judging a book by its cover and believing that everyone deserves a second chance. Her unique perspective and outlook led her to believe that rocks were great listeners, providing her with a special connection to the world around her.

Diana's life was full of love, laughter, and her unwavering spirit. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her lessons, memories, and love will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
