Background
During an unexpected and destructive fire, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Dewaine Orr, tragically lost his life. The man who built a foundation of warmth and empathy, who preferred kindness and gentleness to all else, was accepted into the arms of our Lord and Savior on November 27, 2023.
On the 27th of November, a fire began within the auxiliary building on the Oard Family's land where Dewaine both worked and lived. The building had a functional office space where the family business, Oklahoma Medical Transport, carried out the administrative operations. Dewaine and his wife, Jill Orr, were temporarily staying in their travel trailer just ten feet from the building. There were plans in the making for a home to be built on the property, but unfortunately, much has been lost, leaving Jill and her family with much to reconcile.
At the time of this fundraiser's creation, the cause of the fire is unknown. What we do know, is that the fire spread rapidly, causing immense and total damage to structure, business supplies, and all of the personal property within, but most tragically, the loss of Dewaine's precious life.
Due to the abruptness and severity of the fire's destruction, the surviving family is grateful for any monetary relief graciously donated. Dewaine did not have existing funeral planning. An obituary and memorial announcements will follow in the coming days.
