It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Devon Alexander Briggs, a cherished young man known for his wit, kindness, intelligence, and creativity.

Born on August 27, 2002, Devon left us far too soon on April 18, 2026. He is survived by his beloved mother, Karmen Briggs; father, Kevin Briggs; brother, Dominic Briggs; sister, Kadyn Briggs;  Grandparents: Jeffrey and Anita Williams; Grandfather: Thomas Wright; Cousin: Jasmine Verette,  aunts, uncles, cousins, family, friends, and co-workers who loved him dearly.

Devon attended Nease High School in Ponte Vedra, Florida, and graduated from Marion County High School in Buena Vista, Georgia, Class of 2020. He continued his studies at Mercer University, pursuing Computer Science with a passion for learning, especially in mathematics and science.

Devon later became an integral part of his family’s MAACO business. He not only managed the shop with dedication, but also challenged himself to learn bodywork and paint preparation. He was deeply valued and genuinely loved by his co-workers.

In his personal life, Devon loved gaming, cars, baseball, and spending time with friends. He had a gift for making people laugh and feel at ease.

Above all, Devon was an extraordinary big brother. He led with love, loyalty, and quiet strength—always showing up with encouragement, protection, and care. The bond he shared with his siblings was something truly special.

Devon dreamed of becoming a pilot and once experienced the freedom of flight, a moment that reflected his belief that anything was within reach.

His life leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and deep connection. He will be profoundly missed.
