Al and Jeannette, my heart hurts for your loss. There are no words that will replace Devan. Working with Jeannette many years ago and becoming friends with her has made me a better mom to my children. I loved hearing how she would fall asleep with Devan at night. Her stories were inspiring and full of love. You were born to be his mom and you were lucky to have one another. May you find some peace and comfort in the days to come. Sending love from SC.
I will always remember how precious he was as a little guy, trick or treating at our house. He was so excited! Travis and I have talked about it for years.
I did not have the privilege of knowing him, but as an alumni member of GV Renaissance I can say the group is a magnet for some of the kindest souls and kindred-est spirits I've met. It sounds like he had an impact on many people. My deepest, truly heartfelt condolences to Devan's family and all those who knew and loved him.
Jeanette and Alan, Devan shares a birthday with my son. I am so sorry for your loss-he sounds like he was a fine young man. Sending love and prayers from Alabama ❤️
Devan put the light in your eyes and love in your hearts which was obvious everytime you spoke of him. Never lose that and always say Devans name. He gave you the love you longed for and the pride of being his parents.
I’m so sorry for your loss, I think about you and pray for healing daily.
My most personal memory was when I babysat for Devan while you and Al went out for a date night. I don’t even remember how old he was or what year but it had to be somewhere around 2004-2006 maybe. We went to pick up Little Caesar’s Pizza then went back to my house and probably watched a movie or something. And he proceeded to count every single elephant I had in my curio Cabinet and living room. That tickled him to see that I probably had about 200+ in one space. Haha. He always was such a sweet boy!
