Destiny's obituary

Destiny Cheryl Anderson, born on June 5, 1994, in Fontana, California, passed away on March 16, 2025, at the age of 30. She was the beloved daughter of Deborah Anderson and was deeply cherished by her family and friends. Destiny’s grandparents, Danny and Cheryl Braden, were significant figures in her life.

Destiny’s journey was unique, as she and her mother grew up together, with her mother having her at the young age of 16. Despite the challenges life presented, their bond was unbreakable, and they shared a lifetime of love and growth.

From a young age, Destiny had an innate connection with the elderly. Even as a little girl of 5, she would go out of her way to approach elderly strangers in public, telling them how beautiful or handsome they were. This empathy for older generations led her to become a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) at the age of 16, working in geriatrics for much of her life. She was devoted to her job, not seeing it as a routine but as a calling. Destiny would take extra time to care for her patients, washing their faces, moisturizing their feet, and taking the time to connect with them on a personal level.

At 17, Destiny’s compassion was tested when one of her elderly patients passed away. She called home, heartbroken and inconsolable, unable to even speak clearly because of the profound loss. Her ability to love and care for others, especially those who needed it the most, was a testament to her kind heart.

Destiny’s love for her family was unwavering. She shared a special bond with her brother, Dustin, whom she loved deeply. His passing took a part of her heart with him. Her greatest joy in life, however, were her three daughters. They were her world, and she worked tirelessly to be the best mother she could be for them, constantly striving to grow and improve in her role as a mom.

In addition to her family, Destiny had a passion for music and good food, enjoying the simple pleasures in life. She will be remembered for her loving spirit, her commitment to others, and her ability to bring joy to those around her.

Though her time with us was far too short, Destiny’s life was a blessing. Her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, safe in the arms of Jesus, and will never be forgotten.

Destiny is survived by her mother, Deborah Anderson, her daughters, Chloe, Keira, and Cherish, her grandfather, Danny Braden, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her brother, Dustin Anderson, and her grandmother, Cheryl Braden.

Rest in peace, Destiny Cheryl Anderson. You will forever be loved and missed.
