Desi's obituary
Desiree “Desi” DiAnn Noe, beloved wife, mother, and sister died September 17th at the age of 55 in her home in Hubbard, Oregon with her husband Mike, and children Emerson and Levi by her side, exactly as she wished.
Born in Oregon City, she grew up in the area of Canby, Hubbard, and Woodburn. A turbulent home life led to an extended family made up of loving relatives and friends. She began working at a young age, waitressing in a local restaurant, and also held jobs in retail and the insurance industry. What fulfilled her the most though, was caring for the children of others. In addition to caring for her niece and nephew, most of her adult work life was spent running a home daycare.
Having met Mike through a mutual friend in her teenage years, they began dating in 1987 and were married at Champoeg State Park in September of 1989. They enjoyed camping, travel, and game nights with friends. Something else that she was very proud of was studying for and earning her GED, having never graduated high school, and then continuing on with college courses at Chemeketa.
In 2008, her life changed forever by being blessed with the arrival of a beautiful little girl, Emerson. Their handsome son Levi, came just a couple of years later in 2011. A dedicated and loving mom, Desi and Mike agreed that she would not work outside of the home, and would also homeschool the children.
In addition to devotion to her family, her relationship with Jesus Christ was the bedrock of her life and strengthened every relationship. Always the first one to say “Let’s pray about that”, she was a constant inspiration to anyone who met her. She spent several years teaching Sunday school as well as hosting a small home Bible-study group.
Desi bravely faced her diagnosis of bile duct cancer, which came in January. Throughout her journey, Desi placed her unwavering faith in God and her medical team, enduring eight rounds of chemo and immunotherapy with remarkable strength and grace. After transitioning to a solely immunotherapy protocol, we were shocked and heartbroken to see the cancer rapidly escalate in intensity.
Her memorial service will be held November 22nd, 2025, 10:00 am at Athey Creek Church in West Linn, Oregon.
