It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Deshawn Jones. Born on May 17, 1998, Deshawn left us far too soon on April 15, 2023. He was a loving and devoted father, brother, and friend, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

Deshawn was predeceased by his mother, Beverly Jones, and his father, Tyrone Brown. He is survived by his daughter, Kari Jones, as well as his siblings: sisters Altalia Brown, Tyra Brown, and Dawn Latimore, and brothers Jacoby and Bryant Jones.

After graduating from Woodlawn High School in Gwynn Oak, MD, in 2016, Deshawn went on to become a dedicated and loving father, welcoming his daughter Kari into the world in 2020. His greatest accomplishment was raising his baby girl and being a role model for her. Deshawn was known for his bubbly, helpful, kind, and intelligent personality, and he always encouraged those around him to keep fighting, no matter what life threw at them.

Deshawn was an avid sports fan, particularly of the Brooklyn Nets, and had a passion for playing basketball. He enjoyed keeping active and participating in various sports. Monopoly held a special place in his heart as his favorite game, and he could often be found playing with friends and family. Blue was Deshawn's favorite color, and his love for the comedy film "Don't Be A Menace" was well-known among his loved ones.

Deshawn's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His positive attitude, unwavering strength, and commitment to his family and friends have left a lasting impact on those who were fortunate enough to be part of his life. We will forever carry Deshawn's memory in our hearts.
