Background
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Derrick Underwood. Derrick was a bright spark in this world and will be deeply missed by family and friends. Derrick touched the lives of so many through the medium of music which was his gift to the world. Along with his humor and kindness, Derrick was a caretaker to his mom, his nieces, and his nephews. He was a pillar of strength in their lives, and although he was the youngest of his siblings Derrick was the only male; he always felt a level of responsibility that he lived up to, not just for his sisters, but his mom as well. Just last year Derrick's mom felt the loss of her oldest child and, tragically, she is now living through the loss of her youngest. It is our hope that any proceeds collected for Derrick's memorial fund will help lighten some of the load of this unexpected tragedy. Anything you are willing to give, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated.
