Derrek was born on December 8th 1986, he was very loved by all his family
He is leaving behind his fianc'e ,Kira Anderson and their son Tristan Boyd ,He also had 2 daughters
Avril Boyd and Serenity Boyd
He is survived by his father Steven Boyd and his mother Jodie Simmons and her husband David Simmons, a sister Beth Boyd and a brother Robert Hedrick and his long time girlfriend Morgan Forney, and his nephew Cale Cusimano
numerous aunts ,uncles and cousins
He is also survived by his paternal grandmother Anna Mae Boyd and his maternal grandmother Carolyn Flaharty and her long time boyfriend Michael Tome
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather James Boyd and maternal grandfather Dean Flaharty and step grandmother Lorna Flaharty
