Derek Tyler VanSkiver, age 28, peacefully passed away on December 17th 2025, after a brave battle with cancer.

He was a devoted husband and loving father who found joy in the outdoors, hunting, target shooting with friends and family, working on his beloved truck, and caring for his family. Known for his strength, positivity, loyalty, kindness, and deep love for those closest to him. He will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his wife and son, his guidance, warmth, and the endless love he showed them throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife, Stephanie, and their son, Denver, along with a close and loving circle of family and friends who were present in his life and stood by him with unwavering love and support.

The family will have a private celebration that will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Derek may be made to support his wife Stephanie and their son Denver, including Denver’s future educational needs.
